Hair, Lips, Eyes and Cheeks - Cheap buys that really work!

Hello Everyone!

I'm here today with another budget beauty post!

If your anything like me, round about this time of month I see my wage becoming more and more scarce which means when I'm running low on my make-up items I panic!

As much as I adore high ended make-up I can't always afford it which is why today I'm going to show you guys 4 products I swear by which I use on my hair, lips, eyes and cheeks.

All are SO reasonably affordable and should see you through to your next pay day.
In no particular order.

Cheeks!

This is by far one of my favorite blushers. Sleek have such a wonderful array of colours too which for £4.49 have me going back for more each time I visit Boots or Superdrug. These blushers are highly pigmented and I always see myself reaching for this one over my illamasqua in hussy. All their products come in super sturdy compact packing which is great for just popping in your bag and touching up on the go with the handy little mirror that comes inside. This blusher goes a long way and goes on so well with a nice soft texture! A proper bargain in my opinion!

Eyes

I'm always on the look out for a new eyeliner as I am ever trying to perfect the strenuous cat eye flick on the corners of my eyes and finally I think I've found the one that I really like. Soap and Glory's "Supercat Eyeliner Pen" is one I decided to give a go with on a spur of the moment decision as it only comes in at £6.00 and after using it I haven't looked back. It is so easy to apply as you literally draw it on as you would with a pen. It has a pointy nib at the end which helps me to create the look I'm going for as well as having the option to adjust it to make it thicker. I find just going over it once does the job. I never need to apply more and once more it stays on till the end of the day! I love it!

Hair

I've had bright red hair for years which as you'll probably have guessed I've tried many products to keep the colour intact. Some just don't cut it and fade to the dullest of mousy browns. When a friend recommended I try Directions hair dye I was a bit skeptical but since using it I haven't tired anything since! These pots come in at £4.00 each from my local tattoo and piercing shop (most of them do it) and my hair has never been so vibrant! Once more these are less damaging than other products I've used as they have plenty conditioner within the dye. They come in so many amazing colours and are a real winner over the more expensive hair dyes in my opinion.

Lips

Sadly you can't buy these lip crayons online but the good news is is that they are stocked in Primark (and who doesn't shop in Primark ey?...unless your outside of the UK, sorry!). This gem cost me a mere £1.50 and I picked it up on my usual spending splurge while in store thinking "hey if its crap it doesn't matter for the price". I was actually REALLY pleasantly surprised. I bought it in the shade nude and although its not as amazing as some lip products I've tried and the colour pay off isn't as good, it works out as a really nice moisturizing lip balm which feels great and leaves a nice sheen.

That's everything! Done.Done.Done!

Hopefully you've seen something you'll be willing to try. Who knows, it might save you some pennies!

If you did enjoy this post let me know in the comments and maybe I'll do something similar.

Thanks for reading and don't forget guys that I'm up for the "next newcomer" award at this years cosmopolitan blog awards. Every vote counts :)

Cute Affordable Accessories - Primark

Hola!

With summer well under way (yes, even in the UK we have sun for a brief period!), us girls go crazy for stocking up on our accessories. Who can deny our love for flower crowns and big sunglasses, or the excessive amount of midi rings we have on our fingers.

The other week I went into Primark (as usual) with the intention of buying some cheap pumps for work and it wasn't long till I got side tracked (again... as usual pfft) at some of the pretty things they had on show.

Half an hour later and BOOM... I'm £25 down and still shoeless!

Here's what I purchased.

I absolutely adore their headbands and hair clips! Hair is probably my favorite thing to accentuate and at less than £3.00 I can choose as many as I like!

I don't think I'll ever get tired of shopping in Primark. The prices are so affordable, especially for little accessories like these which you can wear again and again.

MY FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO / Highstreet beauty product haul.

Hi guys.

After contemplating doing YouTube for years I finally caved and made my first video and uploaded it yesterday! (eek!)

Its pretty daunting starting something new. Especially on a platform where there are already SO many good vloggers. The competition is hard and your basically putting yourself out there to be judged. I'm pretty much doing this for me as its another little hobby which helps boost my moods and also my confidence but it would mean a great deal if people actually took the time to watch and subscribe.

My channel isn't aimed at anything or anyone in particular. I just want to upload videos on things I like, things I've been buying, the odd ramble etc. I'm also quite keen to do some vlogs so I can keep memories alive on places I've been to and things I've done etc.

Anyhoo's I thought I'd share the video in a blog post so everyone can have a good nosy.

Enjoy my rather broad northern accent and let me know what you think in the comments below.
Thanks :)

Beauty Haul!!!

Dammmmn its good to be back blogging again!
HELLO!

I'm sorry to anyone who reads this blog regularly as I've been on a bit of a hiatus lately. I needed a little "me" time without the necessity of worrying about updating frequently. Sometimes its good to just step back from things, take a break and then go back into it with a fresh new attitude and positive mind. Now I'm back into the swing of things I'll be here for awhile so please stick around and keep reading my new posts. I appreciate all of it truly!

Anyhoo's while I've been hiding away from the blogging scene for the past few weeks I've been updating my collection of things I put on my hair and face. We never truly have enough hair and make-up products do we?

I thought I'd share what I've been purchasing as of late as I know most people love a good nosey ..and not to mention the fact my last beauty haul post was shockingly bad photo wise. So here you go :) ....

(bought these in a boot sale 2 for £5.00... Brand new, still sealed. Pinch me!)

I was so happy my local superdrug had updated their store and added a whole range of Sleek products as after trying their highly pigmented blushers I've been nothing but keen to see what their other products are like. I'm also excited to try out Rimmels BB cream as this isn't a band wagon I've jumped on yet so would love to know what the hype is all about.

As for haircare my hair has been nothing but terrible as of late. Having had bleached hair for nearly two years its become real dry so I'm hoping trying Aussies shampoo and conditioner helps out a little bit.

How about that bareMinerals foundation though! I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted it untouched at a car boot sale I went to a few weeks back. Getting them both for a mere £5 I can honestly say I grabbed myself a bloody good bargain which goes to show car boots aren't just full of junk!

I hope you enjoyed my beauty haul and I look forward to getting back on schedule and posting more. If you would like to see a review of any of the products above please let me know in the comments section.

Thanks for reading!

(also just a quick thank you to everyone who nominated me in the cosmo blog awards. Its now over. Even if I'm not shortlisted I appreciate everyone who took the time out to help me. Thank you so much)

My Favourite Beauty/Fashion YouTubers

With YouTube ever growing and becoming more and more popular I find myself spending countless hours watching videos rather than watching something on my TV. YouTube videos have been one of the main reasons I've learnt so much when it comes down to Beauty and Fashion. Its provided me with countless tips and tutorials which without I'd probably resemble something you'd see on the side of the pavement.

In today's post I wanted to share my favourite beauty/fashion vloggers with you all as I really enjoy keeping up to date with their videos so maybe you will too! (click their names to go to their YT channel)

I really enjoy Helen's Vlogs. She's a girl with big personality and has a lot of similar tastes to myself. She has me swooning over her pastel hair which she does some great tutorials on if your ever considering changing your look. She also does some great styling up videos of different outfits which I always like.
 Zoella

If you haven't heard of Zoella then you've been living under a rock as shes probably one of the most popular vlogger/blogger's out there. She covers all things beauty related from her daily make-up routine to quick and easy hair styles. She's really genuine and lovely and thanks to her shes helped me buy some really good affordable beauty products I swear by!
CutiePieMarzia

I came across Marzia through her boyfriend Pewdiepie. She has the most beautiful collection of clothes I have ever seen and I'm always envious of what she owns. She covers everything fashion and beauty related and also does a few DIY tutorials and recipes. Also if your a huge fan of pewds he's usually in some of her videos too.
Grav3yardgirl

When I first came across grav3yardgirl I could not stand her. I thought she was highly irritating. But then I began to watch her more and more and now shes actually one of my favourites who is always on the top of my list to watch. She has a great little series called "DOES THIS THING REALLY WORK" which is really informative and covers a wide range of products which are usually raved about. She also does great thrifting hauls and OOTD's which I really like.
Fleur DeForce

Another beauty bloggers favorite would be Fleur. She is probably my favourite vlogger to go to if I want to know about a particular product in detail. She usually vlogs more on the high ended products which I always like to hear about but she does the odd video like the one above which is all about high ended beauty products under £10.
Amy Valentine

Amy Valentine is a favorite of mine when it comes down to her blog, but did you know she also has a great YT channel full of amazing hauls and monthly favorites? I always enjoy watching her videos as I find out about some good clothing companies I would of never heard of before.
Tanya Burr

Tanya Burr is somewhat of a beauty guru in the blogging community and you can see why as she provides some beautiful make-up tutorials on her channel. She's become so popular for her make-up tips that shes gone on to release her own range (Tanya Burr lips and nails pffft like you didn't already know). I also love watching her day in the life videos with her fiance Jim too. They always get to go to the best events!
So that's that for my top beauty/fashion vloggers. If you enjoyed this post and would like me to do another of some of my other favourite youtubers do let me know in the comments as I have pleeeenty more to share.
Do you watch any of the above youtubers? Who is your favorite and who would you recommend watching? Let me know.
Also, I would love for you all to please nominate my blog for the upcoming Cosmopolitan Blog Awards as "BEST NEWCOMER". It'd mean the absolute world to me! All you have to do is put your email address and my blog link and click submit. Super easy peasy! Let me know if you do :)

Primark Haul (and a few extra's)

So its the end of the month which means pay day has finally arrived and granted me a nice wage (for a change). I've been pulling my hair out at the lack of clothes I can wear as nothing fits the way it used to or I'm just bored of it. Not to mention I wanted a few nice things for spring/summer.

Yesterday I decided to raid the shops and pick up a few (or a dozen) items. I spent a shameful £80 in Primark so I thought I'd justify it a little by sharing what I bought with you lot. I have to say, I was really impressed with their stuff as I haven't been in for awhile and hadn't seen their new range.

Here's what I bought...

 Winged Zip Tote Bag £12.00

Heart Lock Purse £4.00

 Sleeveless Tie Shirt £6.00

Basic Denim Shirt £10.00

Black and Blue Jeggings £7.00 each

Black and Grey Lace Up Pumps £3.00 each

And last but not least I picked up these treats from CEX and Game.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading :)

My new Ozeal Glasses

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been away for over a week. I've been a bit worse for wear with a horrible chest infection and the dreaded flu. Fear not for I have returned and have lots of great blog posts coming up :)

Today's post I wanted to talk about my new amazing sunglasses that I received from Ozeal Glasses *
As you may have noticed as of late, glasses are vastly becoming popular not just as a necessity to see more clearly but also as a fashion statement. I myself have had a prescription for over a year but even before then I always owned a pair to spice up the odd outfit every now and again.

With wonderful sunny spring making an appearance in the UK I decided I wanted to pick out some new stylish sunglasses from the website. After much deliberation I decided to go with the Lazar grey tortoiseshell frames and added the tint to them.

Whats great about technology these days is you can order online your perfect frames in the comfort of your own home (or bed if your anything like me). If you like to try and test your glasses out before purchasing then Ozeal offer the great feature of uploading or taking a selfie to try on some frames virtually! And unlike your local prescription store, Ozeal Glasses offer a wide range of different styles, shapes, colours etc which start from less than £19.99.

My glasses were shipped out internationally (free of charge for delivery) and came within a week and a half. They arrived in perfect condition inside a plain black hard case with a microfiber cloth. You can really tell the difference wearing the Tortoiseshell Glasses compared to wearing any standard cheap sunnies. The overall look and feel of them is great quality and the lenses are a lot darker and kept the sun out of my eyes better. Overall I was pretty thrilled with these!

In my honest opinion Ozeal Glasses are a great company to look into if your after updating your frames. They offer many discounts on their website so you can get the right price for what your looking for. I'm really happy with mine and I can't wait to shoot in them!

What frames do you like from the Ozeal website?
Let me know in the comments :)

Thanks for reading. Check back again this week for more posts!

Punky Pins!

I'll be perfectly honest in this post. I'm not a big jewellery hoarder. Which is kind of strange because I work on a Jewellery counter at my Job so in theory you'd think I'd have countless statement necklaces and bling-tastic rings. This is not the case.

However I recently came across a company named Punky Pins on another girls blog and noticed she'd received some quirky jewellery from them after attending an event. Normally this type of thing wouldn't catch my eye but their collection wasn't anything like I'd ever seen before. Skip ahead a week or so later I received an email from them asking if I'd like to choose some items to share with you all. I gladly accepted as they have some items that I actually really like.

The first item I picked was a bit of an odd one and probably not to everyone's taste but then again I'm not like most people. My styles and tastes go from border line dull to ridiculously out there so its probably no wonder to people who know me that I picked up the Grumpy Cat Necklace* and matching Grumpy Cat Earings*

Me and my boyfriend have this thing were we call each other grumpy cats when we are in a mood and it instantly gets us smiling again. This necklace and earing set will be a little reminder to each other of our little joke. I also think I'll get a kick out of wearing this to work during my shifts on customer services serving all the grumpy customers.
Both items are quite sturdy. With the earings being small I thought the backs of them would damage quickly or fall off but they've been great to wear so far. And I can't fault the necklace either. The chain is really thick and durable so I won't have to worry about snapping it.

Secondly I picked up this Winking Metal Owl Necklace* as I thought it was adorable. I had one similar to it in the past but it was plastic and the paint flaked off it. I know with my new one being metal I'll get more use out of it. It also has a nice long 60cm chain so this will be great to wear with an outfit with maybe another necklace on top.

Lastly with spring in place I decided I wanted a new pair of sunnies so went for the Black Heart Shaped Sunglasses*. Nothing too fancy but has enough edge to keep me happy. They're really affordable too and look great on.

For a girl who's not into jewellery as much as others I'm surprisingly happy with what I've got. The staff were lovely and sent my order straight away. There was no hassle at all and if I ever decide to order from them again I can say I'd do it in confidence knowing I'll be getting a good service. I'd recommend Punky Pins to anyone who likes jewellery that's a little bit out there. Their stuff is fun and quirky and reasonably cheap too! Once more everything is handmade which makes it that little bit special in my opinion. Their items would make for a cute little gift or just a treat for yourself!

Thanks for reading!

What do you think of the items I picked up from Punky Pins? Would you buy anything from their website?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments :)
