Primark Haul (and a few extra's)

So its the end of the month which means pay day has finally arrived and granted me a nice wage (for a change). I've been pulling my hair out at the lack of clothes I can wear as nothing fits the way it used to or I'm just bored of it. Not to mention I wanted a few nice things for spring/summer.

Yesterday I decided to raid the shops and pick up a few (or a dozen) items. I spent a shameful £80 in Primark so I thought I'd justify it a little by sharing what I bought with you lot. I have to say, I was really impressed with their stuff as I haven't been in for awhile and hadn't seen their new range.

Here's what I bought...

 Winged Zip Tote Bag £12.00

Heart Lock Purse £4.00

 Sleeveless Tie Shirt £6.00

Basic Denim Shirt £10.00

Black and Blue Jeggings £7.00 each

Plain Grey Maxi Dress £8.00

Black and Grey Lace Up Pumps £3.00 each
Canvas Deck Dollie Shoes £6.00
 Large Floral Scarf £4.00

Basic Black Vest £2.50
Leggings £3.00

And last but not least I picked up these treats from CEX and Game.
This Is The End £5.00
Gears of War Judgement £7.99
Hunger Games Catching Fire £8.00

(If you enjoy Seth Rogen then I recommend watching this is the end as its hilarious)

So that's all of it. I bought a few bought a few extra beauty products but they've already been featured on a previous post of mine here

(What is it with cats and carrier bags?)

Hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading :)

My new Ozeal Glasses

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been away for over a week. I've been a bit worse for wear with a horrible chest infection and the dreaded flu. Fear not for I have returned and have lots of great blog posts coming up :)

Today's post I wanted to talk about my new amazing sunglasses that I received from Ozeal Glasses *
As you may have noticed as of late, glasses are vastly becoming popular not just as a necessity to see more clearly but also as a fashion statement. I myself have had a prescription for over a year but even before then I always owned a pair to spice up the odd outfit every now and again.

With wonderful sunny spring making an appearance in the UK I decided I wanted to pick out some new stylish sunglasses from the website. After much deliberation I decided to go with the Lazar grey tortoiseshell frames and added the tint to them.

Whats great about technology these days is you can order online your perfect frames in the comfort of your own home (or bed if your anything like me). If you like to try and test your glasses out before purchasing then Ozeal offer the great feature of uploading or taking a selfie to try on some frames virtually! And unlike your local prescription store, Ozeal Glasses offer a wide range of different styles, shapes, colours etc which start from less than £19.99.

My glasses were shipped out internationally (free of charge for delivery) and came within a week and a half. They arrived in perfect condition inside a plain black hard case with a microfiber cloth. You can really tell the difference wearing the Tortoiseshell Glasses compared to wearing any standard cheap sunnies. The overall look and feel of them is great quality and the lenses are a lot darker and kept the sun out of my eyes better. Overall I was pretty thrilled with these!

In my honest opinion Ozeal Glasses are a great company to look into if your after updating your frames. They offer many discounts on their website so you can get the right price for what your looking for. I'm really happy with mine and I can't wait to shoot in them!

What frames do you like from the Ozeal website?
Let me know in the comments :)

Thanks for reading. Check back again this week for more posts!

Punky Pins!

I'll be perfectly honest in this post. I'm not a big jewellery hoarder. Which is kind of strange because I work on a Jewellery counter at my Job so in theory you'd think I'd have countless statement necklaces and bling-tastic rings. This is not the case.

However I recently came across a company named Punky Pins on another girls blog and noticed she'd received some quirky jewellery from them after attending an event. Normally this type of thing wouldn't catch my eye but their collection wasn't anything like I'd ever seen before. Skip ahead a week or so later I received an email from them asking if I'd like to choose some items to share with you all. I gladly accepted as they have some items that I actually really like.

The first item I picked was a bit of an odd one and probably not to everyone's taste but then again I'm not like most people. My styles and tastes go from border line dull to ridiculously out there so its probably no wonder to people who know me that I picked up the Grumpy Cat Necklace* and matching Grumpy Cat Earings*

Me and my boyfriend have this thing were we call each other grumpy cats when we are in a mood and it instantly gets us smiling again. This necklace and earing set will be a little reminder to each other of our little joke. I also think I'll get a kick out of wearing this to work during my shifts on customer services serving all the grumpy customers.
Both items are quite sturdy. With the earings being small I thought the backs of them would damage quickly or fall off but they've been great to wear so far. And I can't fault the necklace either. The chain is really thick and durable so I won't have to worry about snapping it.

Secondly I picked up this Winking Metal Owl Necklace* as I thought it was adorable. I had one similar to it in the past but it was plastic and the paint flaked off it. I know with my new one being metal I'll get more use out of it. It also has a nice long 60cm chain so this will be great to wear with an outfit with maybe another necklace on top.

Lastly with spring in place I decided I wanted a new pair of sunnies so went for the Black Heart Shaped Sunglasses*. Nothing too fancy but has enough edge to keep me happy. They're really affordable too and look great on.

For a girl who's not into jewellery as much as others I'm surprisingly happy with what I've got. The staff were lovely and sent my order straight away. There was no hassle at all and if I ever decide to order from them again I can say I'd do it in confidence knowing I'll be getting a good service. I'd recommend Punky Pins to anyone who likes jewellery that's a little bit out there. Their stuff is fun and quirky and reasonably cheap too! Once more everything is handmade which makes it that little bit special in my opinion. Their items would make for a cute little gift or just a treat for yourself!

Thanks for reading!

What do you think of the items I picked up from Punky Pins? Would you buy anything from their website?

My Affordable Make-up and Hair Daily Products - All Under £10

Like many other people on a budget I really can't justify spending my money on ridiculously priced items. This goes for my make-up. With so many high street products deemed just as good if not sometimes better than the likes of Nars, Urban Decay etc is it any wonder why we see ourselves heading to our nearest drugstore to get the latest bargains?

Below I thought I'd share what products I'm using at the moment for my daily make-up and hair routine. I included one or two high ended products but everything purchased was under £10 or won in a competition so it was free. There's no reason you can't do this yourself and save yourself some pennies!

Fix and Perfect Primer by Rimmel. (£6.99) A great product to use to brighten up, smooth and give an even complexion. This primer helps my make-up to stay on longer and isn't as greasy as others in my opinion.

Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation by Rimmel (£6.99) I have been buying this foundation even before I knew the hype around it. It adapt's to your skin tone and provides a great medium coverage which lasts a good while before needing to be applied again. I always go back to this foundation. Its my favorite.

Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer by Collection (£3.99) Quite frankly the bags under my eyes were becoming embarrassing to a point I caved and jumped on the band wagon with this concealer. Boy am I glad I did though. The coverage is nothing like I've ever used before.

Powder Blusher in "Hussy" by Illamasqua (£7.99 in sale) I only ever buy high ended products if they are in a sale and I decided to give Illamasqua's blusher a go as I fancied a treat. This is highly pigmented and feels so smooth and easily blends. Its a great colour too if your pale like myself. I still think Sleek's Blushers are a great alternative to use though and I'll probably go back to using that once I've finished this off.

Stay Matte Pressed Powder by Rimmel (£3.99) I've been buying this powder for years and I use it to set my make-up. It feels incredibly light and is perfect for those with oily skin. A favorite of many including myself.

Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner by Maybelline (£7.99) I LOVE this eye liner. I walked home in a storm and this product hadn't budged one bit. It still looked flawless and amazing. It is easy to apply and lasts FOREVER as you only ever need to use a small amount.

Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 by Bare Minerals (Free In competition). This one is a bit of a cheat. I won this in a twitter competition so didn't actually pay anything. The brush they include in the packaging is a joke, so much fall out but when used with my own its great for applying over my eye liner. Highly pigmented and beautiful colours. I'll use this till its gone then go back to something cheaper.

Scandaleyes Retro-Glam Mascara - by Rimmel (Won in Competition RRP £6.99) This is the current mascara I wear. Features an hour glass brush which I find easy to use. Also a good consistency and lasts even though I wouldn't go as far as saying its waterproof like it states. Still a good mascara though.

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick - Rimmel (£5.49) - I never used to wear lipstick much until I tried out the Kate Moss collection. I saw Zoella wearing it and I went out and bought the same one. I love the colour I use which is in shade 107. It Goes well with my red/pink hair and leaves a nice Matte finish.

Intense Colour Lipgloss - Accessorize (Won in competition RRP £4.00) When I received this I didn't even know Accessorize did make-up as it was a shop I rarely visited but ohhh myyy goddd I love this lip gloss. It smells/tastes/looks delicious and its one of the only lip glosses I don't mind wearing. Some are too sticky but this feels nice on my lips. I apply it over my lipstick all the time. I'll be sad once its gone.

Freeze Hold Hairspray - by TRESemme (£5.25) This is probably my favorite beauty product in the whole entire world. I love to make my hair BIG and bold and I've tried countless hairsprays that have all failed. Nothing compares to this one right here. It keeps everything in place and stays in till I brush it out. It also lasts me a good while and I use LOADS daily. Super drug do a 2 for £6 occasionally which I think is a great bargain so I always snap this up.

Sea Salt Texturising Spray - Toni and Guy (£7.19) I only recently decided to try out sea salt spray as I wanted to do something different with my hair on lazy days. I mentioned this product in a previous post saying how it creates nice subtle waves and great texture. I bought this in a 3 for £12 too which again saved me pennies!

And that's it! This is everything I use on my face/hair daily. If you would like a more detailed description on any of the products above then let me know and I'll do some review posts in the near future. Hope you enjoyed reading and thanks for stopping by!

Inappropriate Fictional Character Crushes

You can't deny it. At least once in your life you've had a crush on a completely made up character and its broke your heart. I myself like many little girls grew up on watching countless disney films and aweing over that dreamy "Prince Charming". Grown up I've found my prince charming but I still can't help but swoon over certain characters in TV shows/Films

Below I'm going to name a few and why its completely pointless.

Aladdin

At a young age my first love was Aladdin. The fact he was a "street rat" didn't deter my love. He was always up for adventure, had a cute little pet monkey and not to mention a magic carpet which could fly you around the world! He was probably the first and only man to ever change for a woman too! Alas this dream boat is a cartoon, it'd never work out between us.

Jack Dawson - Titanic

Titanic was the first love story (besides disney) that I ever watched and its safe to say me and every other woman on the planet fell for Jack Dawson.  Even though he was homeless (i see a recurring theme here) I completely fell for his sweet caring fun personality and heroic acts. He fell in love with a depressed out of place girl and brought her back to life and he saved her in more ways than one. Of course this led to his death which again is why we can't be together. GOD ROSE, WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST SHARE THE DOOR!

Legolas - Lord of The Rings.

I'm a massive fan of Lord of The Rings and anything mythical. I love Legolas! He seems so gentle and sweet  and puts aside his differences with rivals to help the greater good. He's also pretty handy with a bow and arrow which makes him ridiculously attractive. Of course.. I assume with his beautiful locks and and well taken complexion that hes most likely gay! And if not hes still immortal and I'm not. I don't think we'd look so great together when I'm aged 90 and hes still young and beautiful.

Captain Jack Sparrow - Pirates of the Caribbean

The whole tall dark and handsome comes to mind when i think of Jack Sparrow. I can't exactly put my finger on it but theres just SOMETHING about him! The fact he wears eye liner doesn't put me off because I think hes sassy and hilarious! He'd keep me laughing all day. Of course this relationship would be doomed as I'd be pretty sure he'd leave me dumped on a dessert island somewhere.

Peter Pan

Peter Pan is such a fun lovable character. Like Peter I never wanted to grow up and I always thought it would be so amazing to go live in neverland and play with the lost boys and fight pirates. He has a great personality and sense for adventure which would never leave you short of things to do together. However with the constant jealously from Wendy, Tinkerbell and the mermaids I don't think I could handle this relationship.

Sam and Dean Winchester - Supernatual

Just.. wow. I initially started watching supernatural for my love of all things spooky and un-explainable but soon realised that the two main Characters are amazing in both of their own ways. Sam Winchester is just straight up dreamy. He's the sweet quiet one who just wants to settle down and live his life. What woman doesn't want that? Dean Winchester is the straight up badass mofo! Behind his ego is a caring guy who would literally die to save you. I am totally in love with these two which frustrates my boyfriend to no end. Of course being with either two of these men is completely out of the question. You can guarantee you'd be dead before the seasons over.

Damon Salvatore - Vampire Diaries , Edward Cullen,- Twilight, Lestat de Lioncourt - Interview with a vampire

Lets face it. We don't want to admit it but vampires are hot. With their perfect faces to lure you in, dreamy eyes and tortured souls its hard not to want to be involved. From the first appearance of Damon in Vampire Diaries I was hooked. He's so cheeky and even though hes a killer he does anything for the one he loves. Which is the same I can say about Edward Cullen. As much as I think hes possibly the worst vampire in the history of vampires I can't help but fall for him! Lestat is dangerous but you can't help to fall for his charm. Of course I'd never get involved with these creatures. I mean.. did you see what happened to Bella after she had sex with Edward? It'd be Alien all over again.

Tate Langdon - American Horror Story - Season 1

Lastly is my newest crush who I just happened to come across while getting stuck into American Horror Story. From the get go you know Tates a troubled individual with many many secrets. He falls for his therapists Daughter and I found their little love story SO cute. He always looks so pained and every time i see him I just want to jump into my TV, cuddle him and make him better. I love his blonde shaggy hair and pale complexion. But...as much as hes pretty to look at I can't help but think since hes a mass murderer and ghost that things wouldn't go very far between us. Which is a shame really.

This concludes my inappropriate crushes. Of course I could mention many many more but maybe I'll leave that to another post if this one is received well.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, if you did I'd love to read your comments down below.
